Our Mission
Better Internet for Detroit, Built by Detroit
Since 2008, our mission has been simple: give businesses and communities fast, reliable internet they can count on, backed by a local team that picks up the phone.
Who we are
Detroit’s Own Internet Company
Cronus is the only privately held internet service provider based in Detroit. We designed and built our own network, from rooftop fixed wireless and fiber to SD-WAN and public Wi-Fi, and we run it from our Network Operations Center right here downtown.
Our goal is to build the internet company of the future: fast, flexible and deeply rooted in the communities we serve. That means hiring Detroit residents, working with local vendors, and treating every customer like a neighbor.
What we promise
A Network Built to Keep You Running
Everything we do comes back to one promise: your internet should just work.
Speed That Scales
Start with what you need today and grow to speeds of up to 100 Gbps as your business grows.
99.99% Uptime
Our network is engineered for 99.99% uptime, so your business stays online.
Low Latency
Under 5 milliseconds of latency for smooth video calls, VoIP, cloud apps and data center traffic.
Diverse, Redundant Network
Multiple upstream providers and diverse routes to our core keep traffic flowing, even when one path fails.
Local 24/7 Support
Our Michigan-based Network Operations Center monitors every customer around the clock, 365 days a year.
Rooted in Detroit
Local people, local partners and free Wi-Fi in Detroit parks. See how we give back.
What makes us different
We Own Our Network
Unlike most internet providers, Cronus owns its entire network. We bypass the local phone and cable companies completely, so we control the quality, the speed and the repair times. That makes Cronus a strong choice to replace your current connection, or to back it up.
Our fixed wireless and fiber network reaches a growing portfolio of On-Net buildings across Detroit, giving property owners and their tenants dedicated, symmetrical internet. Because we deliver service directly, we pass the equipment savings on to our customers.
Today, thousands of Michigan businesses rely on Cronus for dedicated, business-class internet with guaranteed 99.99% uptime.
