Why Cronus

Detroit’s Own Building Network

Cronus owns and operates its own fixed wireless and fiber network across Detroit, with a growing portfolio of On-Net buildings. Because we deliver service directly, we can connect properties faster and pass more of the value back to owners.

We have been connecting Detroit businesses, buildings and public spaces since 2008, and our Network Operations Center monitors every connection around the clock.

Questions

Internet as an Amenity FAQ

What is internet as an amenity?

Internet as an amenity means high-speed internet and Wi-Fi are built into the property and included for every resident or tenant, usually as part of rent or a building technology fee. Cronus builds, manages and supports the network, and the property earns revenue from it.

How does the property owner make money?

Cronus shares revenue with the property for every connected unit or suite. With a bulk amenity program, the property bills internet with rent and keeps the margin. With an opt-in program, tenants subscribe directly and the property receives a monthly revenue share. We will model both options for your building.

Does this work for commercial buildings?

Yes. We connect office buildings, retail centers, coworking spaces and mixed-use properties, so every suite is internet-ready on move-in day and the building earns revenue from each tenant connection.

Can you work with new developments and existing buildings?

Yes. For new construction we plan the network with your architects and contractors. For existing buildings, our fixed wireless and fiber network lets us connect quickly, often with minimal disruption to tenants.

Who supports the residents and tenants?

Cronus does. Our Detroit-based team handles setup, questions and troubleshooting 24/7, so your property staff can focus on running the building.
