High-speed satellite internet for Detroit and Michigan businesses, set up right the first time and supported by a local team that answers the phone.
Starlink connects to thousands of low Earth orbit satellites, so all you need is a clear view of the sky. We take care of everything else: a site survey, a professional mount, clean weatherproof cabling, router and network setup, and 24/7 monitoring once you are online.
If you can see the sky, you can get online.
There are no cables to bury and no construction to wait on. Most Starlink installations are up and running within days, which makes it a great fit for sites wired providers don’t reach, for temporary and seasonal locations, and as a completely separate backup line that keeps you online when the ground network goes down.
Professional Install
Our own technicians survey the site, mount the dish properly and run clean, weatherproof cabling.
Failover Ready
Pair Starlink with fiber, fixed wireless or 5G on a Pepwave router and switch over automatically if your main line drops.
Fast Deployment
No trenching and no waiting on new lines. Most sites are live within days.
Low Latency
Low Earth orbit means fast response times, smooth enough for video calls, VoIP and cloud apps.
Static IP Options
Need a public IP for cameras, VPNs or servers? We can set it up over Starlink.
24/7 Support
Our Michigan-based Network Operations Center watches every connection around the clock, 365 days a year.
our customer. Here are a few of our favorites.Trusted solutions since 2008, we have been in business for more than a decade. Cronus is the first and only privately held internet service company based out of Detroit Michigan. We employ local Detroit residents and attempt to work with as many local vendors and partners as we can.
Initially when we started the Greenlight Program, we had a huge issue. How do you deploy thousands of cameras and record them in a central location? Cronus created a sub network in there network which allows us to access and record thousands of cameras that stream back to Detroit Public Safety Headquarters. Cronus service and maintenance team is amazing and is a pleasure to work with.
Hands down one of the best internet service companies in the state. In the Hotel industry keeping your guests satisfied is no easy task. The number one complaint we had was the Wi-Fi doesn’t work or internet is slow. Cronus came in and fixed everything. Guests are happy and there are zero complaints now.
Our franchisees had major issues with internet connections dropping and not being able to process orders. Cronus came in and setup a standard firewall with a failover SD-WAN connection for each store. We now have 2 internet connection per store that use the Cronus platform so even our voice service never goes down.
Cronus was tasked to deploy a large scale Wi-Fi network over 6 parks in the Central Business District in Detroit. With more than 250+ programming and event partners, 300 market vendors and 75+ mobile food businesses that participate each year in DDP’s public spaces, this business eco-system needed a fast and reliable internet and Wi-Fi system. With more online orders, deliveries and curbside pickups expected in 2021, a dedicated network is critically important to business owners and patrons alike.
With over 60 locations we needed a robust solution to communicate with our properties. Cronus created a hybrid fiber / fixed wireless network so that our corporate office could communicate with all sites. We stream all camera feeds and credit card transactions threw a local MPLS network back to our office. Without Cronus we would not be able to function.
Starlink for business, backed by Cronus
High-Speed Satellite Internet
Broadband-class speeds in places traditional providers can’t reach, and performance keeps getting better as the network grows.
Backup & Business Continuity
As backup internet, Starlink runs on a completely separate path from fiber and cable, so a cut line or local outage doesn’t take your business offline.
Remote & Temporary Sites
Construction sites, marinas, events, farms and rural properties get fast internet quickly, without waiting on new lines.
We’ve been connecting Detroit businesses since 2008. Starlink is one of the tools we use, alongside our own fixed wireless network, fiber and 5G, to give every location the right mix of speed, reliability and cost. One provider, one bill and one local team to call.
Fast Internet, Almost Anywhere
When wired internet can’t reach your location, or going offline just isn’t an option, slow and unreliable service isn’t good enough. Starlink, installed and managed by Cronus, keeps your team connected at the office, on the job site or out on the water.
Fast, Reliable and Secure
Cronus is the first and only privately held internet service company based in Detroit, Michigan. We hire Detroit residents, work with as many local vendors and partners as we can, and have been building our own high-speed network here since January 2008. Today we connect thousands of Michigan businesses, and we’d love to add yours. Call +1 (844) 799-9933 or request a quote to get started.
Your Questions Answered!
Starlink is a satellite internet service from SpaceX that uses thousands of low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites to deliver high-speed, low-latency internet to almost any location with a clear view of the sky.
Yes. Starlink is a strong fit for locations without fiber or fixed wireless, for temporary and mobile sites, and as a backup connection. Cronus installs it professionally and can combine it with other connections for automatic failover.
Heavy rain, snow or storms can temporarily reduce speeds or briefly interrupt service, and the dish needs a clear view of the sky. Careful placement, a dish that can melt snow and a failover connection keep the impact to a minimum.
Absolutely. Because it doesn’t share lines with ground-based providers, Starlink is an ideal failover link. Paired with a Pepwave SD-WAN router, your network switches over automatically if your primary connection goes down.
Most business installations are completed within a few days of the site survey, depending on equipment availability and mounting requirements. No trenching or construction is needed.
